What is a DMC?

DMC is the acronym for Destination Management Company. It is sometimes called a receptive or local agency. It’s a structure dedicated to organising and crafting programs, and managing event agencies’ clients locally. A DMC is often in charge of hotels, transfers, restaurants and activities.

Why work with a DMC?

DMCs have an in-depth knowledge of the destinations and the special features of targeted markets. Thanks to their unique expertise and global resources, they are able to organise all types of group events, transportation and programs.

Do you speak French or English?

Everyone in our team is bilingual (French and English).

Do you have a venue finding service?

No, we don’t offer a list of partner sites, but we contract their services and invoice you back. We are with you every step of the way to craft and implement your project and guarantee best-in-class services.

Are you based in the UK?

Yes, our main office is in London and we travel all over the UK.

What services do you offer?

Our mission is primarily to advise you and support you to make your event come to life. We design a program specifically for you that will include all the services you require — transfers, hotels, restaurants, activities, gala dinners, etc.. We also accompany you on the day of the event.

Which destinations do you offer?

We work across the UK (England, Scotland, Wales) except for Ireland.

What is the organisation process like?

Once we’ve received your brief, we all work on putting together different creative leads. The request is then placed with a Project Manager who will contact you to introduce herself or himself, ask for further information, and explain our primary ideas. We then work together some more to put together a program that takes your requirements into account. The Project Manager supports you during the production stage and will be your representative at the time of the event.

Are you on-site with the groups?

Yes, Smoozy is always there with the guests, via a guide or a assistant who will accompany the group at all times and will be the point of contact. The Smoozy Project Manager will run a check on the services sold to the group before the arrival, to ensure all services are being provided. He or she will remain in touch throughout the event.

What’s the minimum number of people you request to craft a program?

We need at least 10 people for a group. For hotels, we can provide services for 10 rooms and up. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer competitive group rates for fewer people.

Do you craft events for individuals?

No, we work only with groups.

Can you provide additional staff members?

Yes, if you need a tour leader or other specific service, we can contract with independent providers for these services.

Are you a ticketing agency?

No, we do not issue tickets from abroad to the UK. However, we can manage transfers within the UK (train, plane, bus, tube, and more).

Do you invoice in pounds sterling or in Euros?

Our invoices are sent in British pounds. We do not accept payment in Euros.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Bank transfers. We do not accept American Express.
